Prepare for futuristic retro on the road car chaos! Fight your opponents by smashing their vehicle from behind!
This game was created for the RGC x SUNY POLY Game Jam. The jam's theme was retro-future so immediately my colleague and I began thinking of the LA vice aesthetic you see in media like Hotline Miami. Eventually, we landed on a fun car mayhem idea!

This gif may be hard to read and trust me I understand. This is the earliest digital version of the concept, using placeholder art and defining lines for the environment.
The art went through many iterations for how the designs would look, but I think the most difficult part was balancing the thematic color palette for the game.

This is an early screenshot of the game when the first enemy was being designed (you can see Morshu as the placeholder). You can also see a difference in colors compared to the final version.
This game has always been one of my favorite projects that I've worked on. Even though at the time with only two days to work I got very little sleep, I really enjoyed the creative process and the way the art pushed me to learn.

The final logo for the game used a tweaked version of a font called JHUF. The round icons are meant to represent tires.
